I’m a highly-skilled and experienced Personal Trainer. Clients come to me because they’re interested in making a long-lasting, sustainable change, and I work closely with each and every client to support them in getting to where they want to be.
I specialise in working with people who, for one reason or another, have found that their level of fitness has slipped. Sometimes that’s because of busy professional lives, or because of family or personal circumstances. Others aren’t sure about the best training methods for improving their level of fitness, or lack the confidence or motivation to do it on their own. I also train a number of ‘older’ people, who wanted to improve their fitness or strength after doing relatively little exercise for a number of years.
Some clients come to see me after struggling to reach their fitness, weight-management, or well-being goals in the past, and we work together to develop strategies for addressing these issues as we move forward with their training.
Getting back to fitness can be challenging, but the personal support I offer is second to none, and I help my clients every step of the way. I work closely with all of my clients to devise training programmes that meet their individual needs, and always ensure that training sessions are a lot of fun, as well as being challenging.
My personal training is based in N1, near Shoreditch Park, and not far from Old Street.
I can deliver personal training alone or combined with cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy for exercise and fitness and weight-management
As a personal trainer and hypnotherapist, I offer a range of packages that incorporate hypnotherapy and personal training, to help you achieve your exercise and fitness goals.
I can also help if you’re not looking for personal training sessions, but would like help with exercise motivation or managing your weight.
My approach to hypnotherapy for exercise, fitness, and weight-management
Getting started with an exercise or fitness plan can be difficult, but it can be even more difficult to stick to that plan. Many people start off with the best intentions but find that after a few weeks or months, their exercise and fitness programmes have fallen by the wayside. This can happen for many different reasons, but one of the keys to maintaining an exercise or fitness programme over time is having an appropriate mental approach to exercise and physical activity.
I’ll work with you on a number of different areas of your mental approach to exercise, fitness or managing your weight. I’ve developed my own integrated system for helping people engage in and maintain a physical activity, exercise or weight-management programme.
My system’s been developed through studying the social and psychological research evidence about ‘what works’ in helping people to engage in and stick to health and fitness programmes. Some of the aspects we’ll look at include:
- Your beliefs about exercise and fitness
- Your thoughts and feelings about exercise and fitness
- Unhelpful behaviours that are holding you back
- Your previous experience of exercise, fitness and weight-loss
- Barriers to exercise
- ‘Thinking errors’ related to exercise, fitness and health
- Existing negative associations
We’ll use a range of cognitive behavioural techniques alongside hypnotherapy to help change your overall mental approach. This will help you look at exercise, physical activity and healthy eating in new, more positive ways.
We’ll also put in place a programme of training and nutrition that helps you to reach your goals, and is also achievable. After all, what’s the point in starting a programme that it’s impossible to maintain?
I work with clients from across London, and home visits are also available. My goal is to ensure that you’re able to achieve sustainable, long-term fitness and well-being – no more ‘boom and bust’!
