Make the change you want
I specialise in working with clients to help them achieve positive changes in their lives. I work with issues that affect clients’ day-to-day physical or mental well-being, including: worry, stress and anxiety; increasing and maintaining physical fitness; dealing with insomnia and sleep issues; confidence-building; shyness and social anxiety; lack of assertiveness; and procrastination/decision-making.
Many of us want to expand our horizons, and develop ourselves physically, mentally, or emotionally, yet feel that we lack the ability to achieve real progress. We may feel that we don’t have the knowledge, ability, confidence, self-belief, or practical skills to make and sustain the changes we want for ourselves. This feeling of being ‘stuck’ or out of control of our own lives is very, very common.
My goal is help you bring about positive, sustainable change in your life. I can help whether you’re seeking to change specific habits, behaviours or patterns of thinking; feeling the need to cope better in specific circumstances or in life in general; looking to begin a new, healthier lifestyle; or struggling to maintain positive changes that you’ve made. My training in cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy, personal training and psychology means that I have a range of proven, evidence-based methods and techniques that I can pass on to you.
My hypnotherapy clients benefit from my Hypno-CBT approach – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) combined with hypnotherapy. This means that I can take a holistic approach to working with clients’ issues, using hypnotherapy alongside a range of other evidence-based CBT techniques to bring about the best outcomes for them.
Hypnotherapy is recognised as a safe and effective treatment for many conditions by organisations such as the British Medical Association (BMA) and the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE). It’s also supported by more scientific research than any other complementary therapy. CBT has been used successfully for decades to treat a wide range of issues, and research shows that combining CBT with hypnotherapy can lead to even greater outcomes.
I use an evidence-based approach, and this means I select tools and methods based on the best clinical and research evidence available about what works in bringing about long-lasting change.
I specialise in hypnosis for relaxation, stress reduction, anxiety issues (including phobias), sleep problems, and shyness/confidence building.
I understand that deciding to seek help can be a big step, so I offer a very caring, supportive and fully confidential service. My aim is to help you make progress from the very first session. I’ll work with you to help you view your issue from a fresh perspective, and provide you with practical, effective strategies for moving forward.
If increasing physical wellbeing or fitness is your goal, I’ll develop a programme that not only improves your physical health and well-being, but that also addresses any unhelpful behaviours or thought processes that have prevented you from making or maintaining progress in the past.
This can make a massive difference to your ability to maintain a programme of exercise or healthy eating and achieve your goals. My unique approach to personal training involves working with you to make sure you have the right mindset to achieve sustainable, long-term fitness and well-being.
My ‘Mind and Body’ packages offer a complete integration of personal training and cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy.
Always bespoke and personalised
I never use off-the-peg approaches and I develop an individually tailored programme/treatment plan for everyone I work with. My aim is to help you progress as quickly as possible, and also to give you the knowledge and resources to make sure your progress is long-lasting.
